Producers organizations - explained
The O.P., Producers Organizations, are organizations that have been set up by the European Community as the result of EC regulation n.2200 of 1996. They have been formed thanks to the initiative of agricultural producers and have the following aims
- To assure production programming and the adaptation of the same to demand.
- To promote the concentration of the products supplied and the market launch of the production of the organization members
- Reduction of production costs
- The promotion of cultivation and production techniques that are environment-friendly whilst safeguarding consumer health.
